About the Trust
Mr. P. JOSEPH LEO PETER (Founder) as astute educationist par excellence. He began his career as a school teacher. He started a self-financing college in the name of “PONNUSAMY NADAR COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE” to give coaching for students in Mathematics, Commerce, Computer Science and Corporate secretaryship.
“HIS PRIME AIM is To REACH THE UNREACHABLE IN EDUCATION”
In order to run more educational institutions efficiently in and around Chennai, he formed an educational trust under the name of “PONNUSAMY NADAR EDUCATIONAL TRUST” REGD). And then he started a chain of schools on self-financing basic at various parts of Chennai. He devoted his entire life and earnings for the noble cause of education.
About the College
Ponnusamy Nadar college of Arts and Science affiliated to university of madras was established in 2011. The objective of the institution is to empower the students by imparting academic proficiency along with life skills and moral values.
The Mission of the institution is to make a difference in the field of education by not merely
imparting knowledge to the students but by shaping them into strong independent citizens
who add value to society at large.

B. Com (CORPORATE SECRETARYSHIP)
Bachelor's degree in Commerce in Corporate Secretary ship is a full-time, regular, 3 year-long course in the branch of commerce. The whole study pattern is semester-based.
B. Com (GENERAL)
It is a full time program. The duration of the program is three years. This program prepares the students to take up various positions in the banking industry and financial services industry.
B.SC (MATHEMATICS)
A BSc Mathematics is a 3-year UG course typically offered by universities and colleges and is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematical theory, techniques, and applications.
B.Sc. (COMPUTER SCIENCE)
A 3-year undergraduate program, divided into 6 semesters, containing classroom lectures, industrial visits, guest lectures, internships, and project work.

BCA full form is Bachelor of Computer Application and is a 3 year undergraduate course in the field of Computer Application and Software Development.

BA Tamil Literature is a undergraduate course for the study of Tamil literature, philosophy, & other lingual skills.

Emphasizes the detailed study of English Literature which includes poetry, proses, essays, and several other literary pieces.

M. Com (GENERAL)
M.Com full form is Master of Commerce, which is a 2-year PG academic degree awarded to students upon completion of a program focusing on various aspects of Commerce and related subjects.
M.A (TAMIL)
MA Tamil is a Tamil Literature and Language course that students can pursue if they want to take up post-graduation after completing their graduation.
M.A (ENGLISH)
A 2 year postgraduate course that deals with the study of English Literature and Language all over the world. MA in English includes readings from various novels, stories, poetry and epics written by prominent writers.
